New York Yankees outfielder Nick Swisher can’t wait to face Texas Rangers ace Cliff Lee again. Lee shutdown the Yankees’ bats in game three of the ALCS. Lee had 13 strikeouts and allowed no earned runs in eight innings.

Swisher got tired of hearing reporters constantly asking about the possibility of facing Lee again in game seven.

However, there is a game six that the Yankees must win first.

NBA commissioner David Stern says that there has been no significant progress made in collective bargaining talks over the summer. Stern has also said that he wants to cut player salaries by one- third so the league can “get profitable”. The executive director of the NBA players association, Billy Hunter says that “the league’s stance could lead to a work stoppage”.

Hopefully both sides come to a mutual agreement, even though the NBA almost always wins these battles. Another NBA lockout would devastate fans.

LeBron James received some racist tweets from some of his Twitter followers earlier this week. James retweeted some of the racist and negative feedback he has been receiving since he created a Twitter account and became a member of the Miami Heat. It is really sad that there are people in this world that still think like this and believe James is a target because of his status as a public figure. Being rich and famous comes with a lot of perks, but it also comes with a bulls eye  and leads to lunatic fans doing and saying crazy things to get attention.
